This is why I keep writing.

Today, the survivors of sex trafficking stood on Capitol Hill to urge Congress to release the Epstein files. These brave women are why I keep writing.

It has been a bit frustrating lately with the progress of my novella. I had to step away from it for a few days, so I could look at it with fresh eyes.

My plans to publish by October may not come to fruition, but I will release the novella by the holidays. This will be a win-win situation!

The Fictional Memoir Series is on hold until I finish the novella. Nikki's story is not over, so I will complete the trilogy before I 'lay Nikki to rest'. NO! I will not kill off my female protagonist! But, like with all of my present and future novels, justice always prevails.

Tomorrow will be my catch-up day. I am up to 45K word count on the novella. This number could increase or decrease depending on how critical I am with my editing. Scrivener says I have a 120-page novella, according to word count and font. I  have a feeling that the number will grow to about 200 pages since the trim will be 5 x 8, which is a standard size for novellas. We will see.

With my next update, I should be close to a final draft. Presently, I am on the second.

Until next time!
