Big changes are occurring within my writing world. My goal was to establish a new website before I finish writing my Fictional Memoir Series, to keep readers updated on my latest mischief.

I will continue writing as 'Nicole Rodriguez' until I finish the series, which is a HUGE hint about the female protagonist. Nothing fatal, like knocking off a soap opera character when they leave the show. Significant and extraordinary life changes are in store for Nikki, her friends, and her family. She finds out that middle age isn't as laid back as she thought.

As promised, I will continue to include domestic violence and mental health representation for the entire series. Since Nikki is a midlife, Gen X woman, her healing journey may look different to younger generations. Women over 50 know exactly what I'm talking about.

Gen X was taught to 'grin and bear it' and not to complain. We were the latch-key kids, and independence was thrust upon us in elementary school. With both parents working full-time day jobs, we had keys to the house and took care of ourselves after school until our parents got home. This is why Nikki's battle with PTSD and mental wellness was extremely turbulent.

Currently, I am writing the last two books simultaneously, which is difficult for a midlife gal like me. There will be MANY plot twists between both books, and I want to make sure they properly hook into one another.

Since I am an indie author of an indie book, the rest of my time is spent marketing. Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and YouTube are my means of free advertising. The grind is constant. Trying to reach women over 50 and creating content is overwhelming at times, but if I can reach people who need to hear my story, it is well worth it.
